About Our Pastor

Pastor Doug Walker and his wife, Lynn, came to Wilmington Island in June 2020 after serving many strong churches in the South Georgia area. The Walkers bring energy and enthusiasm to help grow and serve this amazing congregation and community. Doug grew up in Camilla, Georgia, and graduated from Westwood Academy. Doug graduated from Georgia Southern University (1986) with a History degree and received his Masters in Divinity in 1990 from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.  Lynn retired after teaching for 30 years in the public school system (middle grades). Lynn loves playing the organ and singing in the church choir. Lynn is a consultant for Mary Kay Skin Care.  Doug and Lynn have 4 children together and 4 grandchildren.
