Welcome to Wilmington Island United Methodist Church!
We are excited that you are here and invite you to check out our web site. From this site, you can read about our various ministries, sign up for events, and even read the latest newsletter.
Remember that you don't have to be a member or a Methodist to attend worship services. Everyone is invited to worship with us. That's why we say "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors!" Join us next Sunday for one of our worship services and bring a friend!
There are lots of exciting events happening in the church. Check out the calendar of events or read about upcoming events and Small Group Studies. You can even sign up for events right from the web site.
Over the next few weeks and months, we will be expanding our new web site to include prayer requests, more information on ministries, recorded sermons for download, and a separate youth area including a Christian Youth Blog!

NINETY DAYS OF PRAYER "My House will be called a house of prayer" - Matthew 21:13
Church leaders and many others have committed to spend daily prayer time for ninety days asking God to guide how Wilmington Island UMC can become a bold House of Prayer. Three specific prayer requests are to be made daily:
That people would be led to volunteer to pray during our worship services each Sunday for the worship service and those in attendance. The purpose would be to cover our worship in Prayer.
That God would strtengthen the overall prayer life of this church and create an atmosphere of prayer that will be bold as we claim the promises of God.
That God would show each of us individually what we need to be doing to help improve our own and the church's spiritual maturity. We will be asking, "Lord what is the next steop for Wilmington Island UMC? Help us to hear and discern your guidance."
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of Power, of love, and of self discipline" - 2 Timothy 1:7
