The Reverend Michael T. Brown, "Mike," is a native of Portsmouth, Virginia, who came to Albany, Georgia, with his family in 1970. A graduate of Truett-McConnell College, LaGrange College, and Duke Divinity School, he is currently in his 31st year of pastoral ministry, the first five years as a student pastor and as a chaplain intern, and the rest in various pastoral charges in the South Georgia Annual Conference. Along with his pastoral duties, Mike has served on a number of Annual Conference and district committees. Currently he serves as a member of the Board of Ordained Ministry and the secretary of the Savannah District Committee on Ordained Ministry, and he is also a mentor for the Residency in Ministry program. Mike is married to the former Tammy Bishop of Commerce, Georgia, and their children, Allison and Michael, are college students.
