Leta Henderson

Leta has been on staff at the WIUMC since September of 1996 and has been an active member of WIUMC since 2000.  She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and moved to Wilmington Island in May 1996 to be closer to some family.  Leta has been married to her high school sweetheart Roland for 48 years and they have raised two sons and a daughter. They have seven grandchildren who are the joy of their lives.  Because Roland and Leta have lived in several different areas of the country, they enjoy traveling to visit friends which were left behind, family and other interesting areas of the country.  Leta’s most enjoyable hobby is doing “stuff” and going places with her granddaughters’, Ansley and Kelsey, who live here on the island.  Leta thanks God everyday for the opportunity to serve at WIUMC and feels that God has placed her here to minister and serve all who come through the doors of the church.  It is a blessing to have such a committed and faithful staff member.
