Ignite on Hiatus!

With end-of-the-school-year activities, holidays, the end of our Sunday afternoon children’s programs for the academic year, our upcoming pastoral transition, and scheduling conflicts, we have decided to suspend—not end—our Ignite worship services for the next little season. We are grateful to all who have provided leadership and help with these services, as well as to everyone who attended and participated. Special thanks go to our Praise Band members—we’re thankful for your willingness to use your gifts and talents in leading God’s people in worship. Above all, we give thanks to God, who through Jesus and in the power of the Spirit touched our lives through this different style of worship!

Watch your church newsletter, Facebook page, and website for an announcement concerning the resumption of Ignite!

New Sunday Morning Sermon Series
During the next six Sundays of the Easter Season, we will explore “Resurrection Life.” The resurrection of Jesus from the dead has powerful implications for us as Christians, not only in the hereafter, but in the here-and-now—for “Resurrection Life” begins as we come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and seek to live for him, empowered by his Holy Spirit. Through the First Letter of John, we’ll look at some of the elements of what it means to live the “Resurrection Life.” Here are the Scriptures and topics for the coming weeks:

April 15—1 John 1:1-2:2—“Living in the Light”

April 22—1 John 3:1-7—“Living in Hope”

April 29—1 John 3:16-24—“Living in Obedience”

May 6—1 John 4:7-21—“Living in Love”

May 13—1 John 5:1-6—“Living in Victory”

May 20—1 John 5:9-13—“Living in Assurance”

 People Helping People

People Helping People needs help getting the tables to and from Forsyth Park each Sunday. If we had four different people who would agree to serve in this way, it would only involve about 3 hours of your time each month. If you can help out and want more details, please contact Jack Cooey or talk with Vicki in the church office.
